NBA 2K13 Reviews

Based on 1 critics - Overal Score: 91 / 100

GameInfo: With more than 5 million copies sold worldwide and more than 25 Sports Game of the Year awards won, NBA 2K12 was another monster release for the biggest NBA video game simulation franchise in the world. This year, 2K Sports has joined forces with the legendary JAY Z as Executive Producer to transcend sports video games and take virtual hardwood to the next level. Featuring an enhanced MyCAREER mode and all-new gameplay features, NBA 2K13 will let gamers pit the best players in NBA history against the new dynasty of talent, including the much-debated matchup between the 2012 U.S. Men’s National Team and the 1992 “Dream Team.”

Critic Score

IGN It’s both scary and exciting to think how good a game we might get if NBA 2K actually had a serious competitor pushing it to new heights. But even when left with a clear, unobstructed path to the basket, 2K13 throws down a monster jam with this year’s edition – probably the last one developed solely for this generation of consoles. It’s obviously the best hoops game out there, and it might even be the best sports game of all, period. Read Full Review

Cortex Command

Cortex Command is a 2-dimensional side-scrolling action game developed by Data Realms. In the game, the player takes the role of a disembodied brain, who controls various clones and robots to achieve his aims. There is no campaign as of yet, so there is no main objective the player works towards over the course of the game. Current missions contain tasks such as retrieving a control chip in a cave filled with zombies to defending the brain from attack. As the brain is weak, the player must manage his resources carefully, protecting the brain, mining gold and fighting off enemies. The game includes the ability for players to create mods (additions and changes to the game) with the built in Lua programming applet, and simple scripting.

The game was first released as an open beta and was later released for purchase with a time-limited demo version available as well. The full version is still being refined (as the game is still in extensive development), but includes unlimited play and extra features unavailable on the demo

Watch A Ton of Amazing Assassin's Creed III Videos

In the coming days and weeks you're going to hear a lot about Assassin's Creed III, through our impressions of the game when we recently played it to much more from our studio visit in the 'Making Assassin's Creed III' video series. All that is good, but at the end of the day we know you kind of just want to watch a bunch of footage and drool over it. So let's do that. Read More

GTA V: 10 Predictions That Will Come True

It appears as though many of our readers are a little disenfranchised with the GTA series; GTA IV split fans asunder, and according the comments in my last piece on the subject (GTA V: 10 Reasons It’s So Unbelievably Hyped), many will be monitoring this new GTA game closely in order to decide whether or not they’re done with the series.

Guild Wars 2 vs. World of Warcraft

The argument can be made that you can play both. After all, Guild Wars 2 doesn’t have a monthly fee. However, a lot of people can’t maintain two giant games at once. It can be daunting. So this question is viable among the MMO crowd. Read More

Make new friends, arm them with a bazillion weapons and fight alongside them in 4 player co-op on a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across the undiscovered and unpredictable living planet.

Critic Score

GamerFuzion Hilarious sense of humor, with millions of guns to go around and over 30+ hours of gameplay make Borderlands 2 a must play game and have. For the retail price this game is worth it and is something that you don’t want to miss on. Read Full Review

IGN When you’ve managed to create an unexpectedly great first entry for a franchise, it begs the question: What the hell do you do with the sequel? In the case of Borderlands 2 developer Gearbox has decided to largely stick with what worked the first time around, while implementing a host of tweaks that make it an overall superior game. A few relatively minor complaints aside, Borderlands 2 improves not only the narrative, but almost every major game system. If you’ve been itching for a reason to jump back into the world of Pandora, Borderlands 2 provides a more than ample supply. Read Full Review

FleshEatingZipper I’ve played Borderlands 2 and now I’m going to review it. There are some caveats: it wasn’t the final version, and since I’m not under any embargo, I can get away with posting my opinion on the game without retribution. We at FleshEatingZipper work super hard to get early review copies so that you can enjoy an early opinion without having to look at a newspaper or magazine or even other web sites. Well, we let you down with Borderlands 2 and we want to make up for it in the best way possible. Read Full Review

Windows 8's Gunstringer: Dead Man Running developed by Other Ocean

The Gunstringer: Dead Man Running is a significant departure from the original game. For one thing, it's not a Kinect game for Xbox, but rather a Windows 8 game for PCs and tablets. For another, development is taking place not in Austin, but up north in Canada, at Other Ocean Interactive. Read More

'Assassin's Creed 3' multiplayer mode to get new content every month

When it comes to "Assassin's Creed 3", Ubisoft has been throwing out details left and right. They've been quick to introduce the new hero, Conner and show us the setting for the game, The Revolutionary War. What they haven't spoken much about is the multiplayer side of the game.

The multiplayer for "Assassin's Creed 3" is being handled by Ubisoft Annecy, and they promise a greater focus for the multiplayer mode over the past games that included it. They plan on supporting the mode with new content, and hope to have the mode have a much bigger impact on the series and it's story. Read More
