Armed with Wings: Rearmed - PC

There’s something quite evocative about a setting that’s only black and white. As a result of early technology, the first sidescrolling spaceship I ever commanded was a tiny, bright triangle against the nothingness of space. Games don’t have the same historical timeframe as film, however, and aesthetic conventions never became tied to technology in the same way. My first impression of Armed with Wings: Rearmed was that it would probably be bleak and Limbo-esque.

We love every form of games, RPG, Strategy some card or bingo games!
Recently discovered this bingo website Harry's Bingo, and having a great time and it has a great community.

Interestingly, the combination of frosty mountains in the background and gorgeous animations creates a dramatic feel to combat without any negative connotation. My character is whirly and graceful, but so powerful. It is a joy to play because timing and skill is learned alongside a visual feast of movement, enhanced by the strong silhouettes. Combat begins simply but soon relies on refl exes, observation and use of surrounding terrain features.

What begins as, seemingly, an action platformer quickly becomes increasingly puzzle focused. Yes, you can engage enemies directly, but a smarter way might be to smash boulders and launch the resulting rocks with your katana, like an expert ice hockey player, from a safe distance. I absolutely  love how the level design challenged me. Initially thinking, “Surely this is a bug. This is impossible,” always gives way to, “Oh, I see. That’s really clever.”

Puzzling also uses a little bird who you can send a limited distance from you. I would tell you the kinds of things it can do, but that would spoil the way experimentation leads to understanding of the puzzle elements. Designer, Daniel Sun, tells us, “Armed with Wings: Rearmed is designed to make players feel like an epic samurai warrior, despite skill level.” Certainly, if I was expecting sadness, I left feeling uplifted by the cleverness of the design and the beauty of the world.

Fun to play and fairly priced.

Bugs:
-Text screens need slowing down
-Few typos
-Game freezes for a second when bosses die
-Cannot unselect unit type to deploy sometimes

I would like to see a way to delete turrets (lemmings style would be fun) as this could let you lose your game if you have max units deployed and an enemy gets though. Please seperate music and sounds in the options menu, and also the bullet sounds are pretty dull (wet farts). UI wise the right sidebar blocks a lot of the action and should really be integrated into the menu bar by reducing icon size... could there be an option to shake the screen but not the menu bar?

75/100
Fun-to-play side view strategy game with a story, ideal for short games of about 10 minutes.
You throw up to 12 units (which you have to research first) at you opponent, who throws whatever he can craft back at you. Plus some bosses.

Benefits

Pixel graphics with nice effects
Short games possible
Story and interesting settings with different missions (survive the waves, kill the boss)

Concerns

Two modes (campaign and surviving) only
UI good be improved

GameInfo: "Age of Steel: Recharge" is a 2D strategy with a view from the side. You're taking the role of commander, who was entrusted the management of the military base. Your mission is to defend a base from the waves of enemies at any price.

The game is on the same time line as the show, very funny, enjoyable and the fighting system is awesome. I know marci dlc is out but lets hope it gets more dlc. If you enjoy Adventure Time and can't decide what AT to go for, I have played most of them, yes they are all funny, making you laugh I would have to say this one has to be the best so far.

This is the way AC Unity should have been. Much better performance, and it actually isn't full of bugs. It has a GTA like game play with a fully open and explore-able world, you can even hijack a few vehicles and horse drawn carriages. The parkour system works great, you can climb walls and buildings and go onto roof tops and perform executions from mid air. The only real downside to this game is that the scenes when killing someone sort of repeat themselves, no real variety. All and all this is what the last AC should have been, it goes back to the roots that made AC a great game. Definitely pick this up, you won't be disappointed!

Rating: 10
Oh yes it runs well and with fewer bugs but the graphics is bare and very downgraded that it seems you are playing a Pc game of 5-6 years ago rather than a new game. It's a modest Pc port that offers mediocre graphics, repetitive missions, awkward controls which waste your gaming experience

Rating: 0
8.5GB of Vram to make run at high quality a game that would have required less than 3GB is ridiculous. This PC port is a joke. If you want to play it at low settings it runs well and smoothly but graphics is ugly. If you want to play it at high settings prepare to buy a Titan X with 12GB Vram because your GTX 980ti won't be enough.

A great disappointment for me that I have bought this game. This is what I think after playing it for around 13 hours:

Graphics 40/100
Sounds 60/100
Gameplay 20/100
Entertainment Factor 0/100

Rating: 0
The game for PC looks blurry, rough and flat. AA filter works bad. Shadows are poor quality. Textures are console version and not PC version. World detail is very low. This port is pathetic and unmeaning. Plus the game is boring boring boring again and again.

Rating: 70/100
Faily well optimised. A few texture/npc pop-ins here and there, but nothing too serious.
You don't need to max the video options for it to look good.
The only thing that bothers me are the clunky combat system and the stiff animations; they look too cartoon-ish.
Other than that, it's a step up from Unity.

I wish Ubisoft would stop making annual releases and take their time to release a really great game worthy of GOTY title. Sadly that won't happen because they're too money hungry and they don't give a rat's ass about people's opinions.

Rating: 100/100
The game plays great on GTX 970 (Remember to turn off PCSS) enjoy stable 60fps

Enjoying it so far looks beautiful

SNATCHER (a Hideo Kojima Game)

Snatcher can be seen as the spiritual precursor to Policenauts. The games are set in two different and very distinct worlds inhabited by very different people. Also, Snatcher feels less like a detective story and more like a first-person action/adventure game. Its gameplay uses point-and-click style adventuring permeated with occasional shooting sections, and its story touches on the Illuminati and borrows heavily from the films Blade Runner and Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. The story centres on mysterious beings know as Snatchers, who steal the bodies of humans and use them as a host to blend discreetly into society. You play the role of Gillian Seed, and work for a special unit of rangers known as JUNKER who are assigned to draw out and eliminate the Snatchers at any cost.

Astray Review and System Requirements

Review: Astray is a great addition to the first person horror genre fallowing in the tradition of games like Penumbra and Amnesia. The game was the perfect length for the mystery to unravel in satisfying chunks. The graphics were very atmospheric, and the game mechanics worked perfectly. At the end i was shocked to see the credits contained only two names, for that reason alone i would recommened this game as a true achievement in indie gaming, I have played hundreds of small dev-team games, and this was by far the most impressive in that arena.

Always Sometimes Monsters Review and System Requirements

This game is kind of a surprise. I did not know about it - but almost instantly liked it.

pro:
- lovely drawn characters and a lot of choice makes a re-play just as enjoyable as the first time
- the story is nicely done, not amazing in terms of creativity but enjoyable enough
- many of the characters are quite relatable and the "world" does have a nice feeling

con:
- not as open world and choice-based as it may want to be
- the artstyle, while being good, could have been so much better. especially in terms of customization of character
- the UI / engine is fairly bad. screen resize, controls and all that is either not customizable at all or lacking.

my final thought:

a very good game well worth the money! - but also a game that could have been ( and hopefully may become - as in sequel or something .. ) much, MUCH more. what i did not like too much was the mixture between a pretty mature topic / story - and very simplistic chores or minigames.
Verdict: 75/100

Assassins Creed 3 PC Review

Assassins Creed 3 is simply an awesome game on all counts, it hits many emotional buttons in its fantastic story line , making it one of the best out there since Skyrim.
Firstly I like to get the bad aspects out of the way. In the Assassins Creed series there is a user interface for the PC version that can be a real headache, for example. I like to call this aspect " Monkey Mode" When Connor is in Boston and he is trying to escape the British lets say by running down the street instead of running out of the way you climb a barrel or the side of the building and get jammed there are stuck there and in of course either get killed or beat up, this feature can get extremely frustrating and annoying in many circumstances where all you want Connor to do is to run instead of climbing like a monkey on every tree branch barrel or building.
I also find the weapons interface to be buggy, you have Connor choose the darts and instead of using the darts his hands end up being empty so now he is fighting with his fists against a fully armed British Army using bayonet swords and muskets, this is well can be extremely frustrating and absurd. I wish that the people working on Assassins Creed would consider an extra step on the keyboard or mouse so that Connor is not constantly in monkey mode.

Now onto the really meaty stuff, Assassins Creed 3 is truly epic in its proportions with breath taking vistas, historically accurate maps, and even people speaking in an authentic Mohawk dialect. Connor is taken on many steps in the story where his life interacts with the birth of the American Revolution and gives insight into some of the reasons for the uprising against British colonial rule.

Some of the interactive scenes include building your own naval ship, complete with cannons, guns and crew. You get to take the ship out into the harbor and are immediately tested for your naval skills. The horseback emulation also is quite well done compared say to Skyrim. The dialogue and tasks and attention to detail in this game is beyond extreme, I cannot imagine the countless amount of hours in time invested into the development of this game to give us a completely immersive experience that is not only entertaining but also interesting on many many levels. In closing I would say that as long as you don't get too frustrated with the user interface you have many many hours of fantastic gaming say nothing of the multiplayer section which I have not tried yet. The strength of this PC game is its storyline and stunning graphic representations right up to the authentic use of Mohawk and authentic non-cliché acting by the indigenous actors, it could've easily been done in a shabby way but was not.

This makes you realize the scope of this release and the enormous ambition of the team time Assassins Creed 3.
A few words about the so-called monkey mode, which is what I like to call it. There are some truly amazing aspects and feats of rockclimbing, building scaling right up to climbing to the top of the church or the top of a mast of a ship to get a full 360° panoramic view, I thought this was pure cinematic's in the previews but it turns out that is also in the game console as well. The ability for Connor to climb to the top of trees and buildings or rocks is both the strength and weakness of the user interface as I talked about at the beginning of this review.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough if you have a friend, family member, or someone that you know that really enjoys gaming and has a birthday coming soon I think it would not be a mistake to purchase this game as I think it would make a fantastic gift.
All around Assassins Creed 3 is one of the best PC games I have ever played in a long time, bravo to the team at Ubisoft. 100/100

GamePro: Though delayed, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood shines on the PC. Brotherhood adds a rich new chapter to the tale of the war between the Templars and the Assassins. Plus, according to our reviewer Andrew Hayward, the new multiplayer modes are an absolute blast. Read Full Review

PC World: "In the course of reviewing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the third instalment in the popular franchise, I took some time to reflect on what makes this particular series so popular.
Sure you can extol the game for many things. Great gameplay, awesome voice acting and the occasional steamy sex scenes are just a few of them. But what gives the games that X factor?

The Escapist: "It's important that you know right from the start that I really loved Assassin's Creed 2. I loved the Italian Renaissance settings, I loved the Grand Theft Auto-meets-Spider Man gameplay, and I even loved the sci-fi/art appreciation/historical thriller plot. The only downside was that the game ended right in the middle of the action. Now, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood picks up the story again, delivering all the things I loved about the original game, and a few new surprises as well." Read Full Review

FTG: During E3, when Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was first announced, and Ubisoft showed off the idea of a multiplayer component, I couldn’t believe it could ever work. In the months leading up to Brotherhood’s launch, I became hyped to the idea of the way the multiplayer was developed and was prepared to buy the game for this mostly-multiplayer game. When I picked up Brotherhood, I was surprised to see the full-length single player game that wasn’t just copied and pasted from Assassin’s Creed 2. Read Full Review

CVG: Overall, Brotherhood is an awesome package with enough new content to kill the competition this Christmas.Story limitations and a few failed mission experiments cement our statement that it's not Assassin's Creed 3 - but with a lick of paint it would've come dangerously close. There's enough quality and scope here to put Brotherhood in the running not just as a top Christmas purchase, but one of the best action games of the year. IGN: There's a lot to like; the game is undeniably solid, while the multiplayer offers a unique experience. The game runs well on a modest modern gaming rig, and while the graphics aren't bleeding edge, it's hard not to be impressed by the scale of its recreation of Rome. PC owners also benefit from the inclusion of all the DLC to date out of the box. If you’re new to Assassin’s Creed, this is a solid entry, but picking up the threads of the convoluted story may be a challenge. If you’re an experienced assassin, on the other hand, expect to tread pretty similar ground to the last title. Read Full Review

Drunk on Judgement: If you didn’t play Assassin’s Creed 2 then you might be a little lost as far as the storyline in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
