Star Wars: X-Wing

If you were a Star Wars fan in the early- Nineties, this combat simulator almost single-handedly justified PC ownership. The game had the daunting task of competing against the likes of Wing Commander, but managed to trump them on a graphical level – in an era when most games were still throwing sprites around the screen, X-Wing rendered enemy TIE fighters and other objects in full 3D. Mission design required an incredibly high level of execution from players, but that barely mattered when you had control of the iconic Rebelcraft. In fact, so complete was your control that you even had to manage energy between shields, engines and weapons.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer
It’s a massive surprise to see Episode I Racer so high up in your list, but it certainly deserves its position. Not to be confused with the equally excellent Star Wars: Racer Arcade, which was released by Sega in 2000, Episode I: Racer is a glorious futuristic racer from LucasArts that comes close to toppling F-Zero GX as the best example of the genre on Nintendo’s 64-bit console. Alongside thefinal lightsaber duel, the pod race is easily the highlight of The Phantom Menace, so it’s fitting that LucasArts did everything it could to match the excitement that the original cinematic sequence offered. There are a large number of ships and courses to unlock and an excellent two-player mode (although the PC version could support up to eight via a local network). Graphically it’s superb, particularly the N64 version which benefits from the Expansion Pack to increase the game’s textures. There was also an exclusive bundle on N64, which is slowly rising in value. The Dreamcast and PC versions are better due to being on more powerful hardware, but as many of you mentioned Nintendo’s version by name it’s the one we’ve decided to focus on.

Star Wars Galaxies
While the game never reached a lofty player base, there’s still a lot of fondness for the first Star Wars MMORPG – to the point that players are actively trying to revive it.

Star Wars: Battlefront II
This team shoot-’em-up was awesome a decade ago, and age hasn’t dulled it a bit. Whether your playing as a Sith Lord or a Rebel sniper, you’ll have tons of fun.

This game gets 9/10 from me, only because no game is perfect. Despite a few certain shortcomings, nuclear throne has been my favorite game this year. Tight controls, fast gameplay, interesting locations, amazing art, great sound design, brutal but still fair, this game has everything I find fun.

+ Good semi-arcade handling.

- Most car engines sound like a blender.
- Can barely hear the sound of tires on road.
- Can barely hear the sound of DOWN gear shift. Even if you go from 6th to 2nd gear in 1 second, there's just silence.
- Some corners have weird reset-on-track spots.
- Lack of a proper "TV/spectator camera" in replays -- the broadcast view lasts no more than 3 seconds before it changes to some other random angle.
- Some awful textures.
- Strange and annoying frame rate inconsistency. The fps count says 60, but the whole scenery seem to move at 20fps.
- Unbelievably buggy menus -- framerate limit and some controller buttons rebinding just don't register.
- Sometimes the co-driver keeps completely silent... No pacenotes during an ENTIRE stage is a real game breaking issue for a rally game.
- Poor wheel support (no DFGT or G25? Seriously?)
- No semi-automatic shift -- a feature EVERY other racing game offers.
- No v-sync for DirectX 11.
- Loading times during car selection -- Playstation 1 limitations, we meet again

I like it.

The stage design is good, the handling is decent, the graphics are average and the audio is mediocre.

The handling is quite forgiving and easy to get the hang of, but there's room to better yourself through practice.

There are 65 different stages ranging from 2 to 12 km spread across 13 locations.

The stage design itself is quite good, but the road surfaces themselves could use more bumps and camber changes.

The visuals aren't too impressive, but there are a lot of nice visual details around and being able to choose time of day and weather for any track is great. The car models and damage look pretty good too.

The audio isn't too impressive either and while the co-driver is functional, they sound pretty robotic.

They have handled the service-park repairs well, with partial repairs being an option and some components being completely replaced.

Overall I thoroughly enjoy the game and would recommend it if you're a fan of the WRC and Rally games.

I think WRC 5 is a commendable effort by Kylotonn and I look forward to the sequel should they make one, this game is a solid foundation for the next.

Recommended! Very good port!
1080p and 60FPS with upgraded graphic - new lighting, realistic DOF effect and anisotropic filtering.
But interface texture has drawn for 720p resolution.

I have beat a half of this game and i want to say this game is very intresting. I like new battle system, but it a little worse than battle system in XIII and XIII-2, because Lightning in only one playable charcter in LR:FFXIII.
And i like game story too, i very glad to meet all of main characters from XIII and XIII-2 again.

It is clear that the extra time they put into the pc port of this game was worth it.

The graphics settings are much greater than the two prior iterations, however at least in the first hour of gameplay, there have not been any bugs or glitches. The game runs at a consistant 60 fps on maxed out 1080p settings on my GTX 970.

So far, it seems that holding off and waiting for the pc release of this game was certainly worth it!

+ Beautifully designed world, each area feels alive and has a unique design.

+ Battles are excitingly frantic and challenging, featuring real time strategy.

+ The Story is beautifully deep, and unapologetically eccentric.

+ Solid port, game runs at mostly 60 frame per second with occasional drops into the 40s.

+ The new advanced lighting and graphic options for this version look gorgeous, it truly looks like a remaster at times.


- Has to be online to play. ( Who cares though right? Just get a dongle if you want to play on the go. )

This game is the very best of its genre. If you like CRPGs like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights, you are going to like Divinity: Original Sin. The Enhanced Edition made it even better than the acclaimed original version, improving the game in literally every aspect. I must warn people who are not familiar with these kind of games, there is a lot of dialogs, thankfully every single dialog in the game is voiced. My only complaint is the inventory management, you will find yourself struggling with the chaotic inventory box very often.

I just can say: woah. Enhanced version its really kickass (was really disappointed with first edition). Lots of role playing and fun. Ill try to say my honest opinion with this one,

Pros:
Nice fights, really fun and versatile.
Role playing is kickass, you can alter quest such in a massive way.
Interesting maps, really invites you to discover entire maps and keeps you with mystery through them.
Intuitive quests, not for lazy minded people.
Leveling is fun, you can spend a bunch of time thinking what to invest, that's kinda cool imo.
Enhanced edition improves almost everything, the improve in graphics, effects, optimization its really mindblowing compared with the last year one. Pretty solid.

Cons:
Not best story or dialogues (its kinda weird, but that weird thing maybe keeps you interested).
Voice acting isnt the best (sometimes its annoying to hear npc speech's)
Difficulty: not friendly (old fashioned way, you can encounter high lvl mobs that only warns you not to keep going that way lol).

Everyone at the first sight consider it's a Diablo like RPG but it's totally different. I'd rather treat it like 2.5D skyrim or wildhunt.
If you have no patience to explore the world, this game is not for you!
The battle is full of fun with strategy.
For most AAA RPGs in 2014 and 2015, they told you to do something/get some stuff/from A to B, then to C. But for this game, you need to decide which way you should do to complete B, because the result of B will influence A and C.
For example, a goblin tells you to murder an orc woman, bring her necklace back. You can kill the goblin, and tell the truth to the orc woman, you can kill the orc woman, and bring the necklace to goblin, you can also say hello to the orc woman, steal her necklace to the goblin and promise you have killed the woman! If you really kill the woman then another quest you need to get some knowledge and ideas to make a show at the town will be influenced...
So, it all depends on your choice! You can give the quest keys to the npc and after finish the quest, steal from them to open the treasure chest, if you find a drunk legion solder and search his inventory, there must be a mug with beer! You can make tomato sauce with tomato and hammer! This game has so much amazing details to explore...Lot's of puzzles and jokes.
