Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Review (NGN)

74/100 While the market for competitive pseudo-realistic first person shooters has exploded in the last five or so years, Mount and Blade has remained relatively uncontested in the realm of on-the-ground Medieval combat simulators. The multiplayer-only Chivalry: Medieval Warfare intends to challenge its title, and while it offers up some incredibly satisfying and complex melee combat, a myriad of bugs and a fairly limited number of maps cast a shadow over the game's better aspects. However, with developers promising to provide extensive post-launch support in the way of additional content and patches, this is definitely a game anyone who likes the idea of medieval warfare should keep an eye on.

Hoyle Solitaire & More - Review

Nice graphics but card movement is terribly slow on a Windows 8 laptop. Otherwise it is a pretty good game.

Painkiller: Hell & Damnation Review - GodisaGeek

70/100 When Painkiller first came out in 2004, we were still playing the old-school style of FPS, Doom 3 and Quake 4 for example. In the eight years since we’ve moved on to games that have a little bit more substance, story and (in general) production values. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a place in the world for Painkiller’s remake, it just means that the target audience has gotten a little smaller. If you’re the type of gamer that grew up on games like this then you’re going to love Painkiller: Hell & Damnation for maintaining the old-school gameplay while adding up-to-date graphical aspects and cinematics. If you’re expecting Halo, Call of Duty or any of the more modern type of shooter then you’re going to find it lacking. That being said, Painkiller has a stake gun, not many other games can say that, and it deserves to be played for that reason alone.

Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa

Tabula Rasa is an excelent change of pace from regular MM0s. It has a relativly unique gameplay style vvith many interesting options such as cloning, and more to come in fallowing patches. The best thing I like about this game is the atmosphere, the constant vvarzone vvhere you can stand around, look at the scenery, and get hit by an incoming mortar. N0 other MM0 does that. The game is good and has the potentioal t0 grow even further.

Football Manager 2013 Review - Electronic Theatre

90/100 For many years now Sports Interactive has been considered the leader in the field of football management simulations. Competitors have come and gone – including the development team’s original franchise Championship Manager – and while some titles offered a greater amount of instant gratification none could compete with Football Manager in terms of depth. This is one playing field that has never been level, and Sports Interactive intend to tip the scales even further this year by offering those gamers with less time to invest their own opportunity to get involved in the franchise.

Mark of the Ninja Synopsis

Gamers hide in the shadows and wait for the perfect moment to perform precise kills in the 2D stealth action of Mark of the Ninja. Players take control of a skilled but vulnerable ninja as he sets out to protect his fading clan by hiding in the shadows and using darts, firecrackers, and traps to get the drop on enemies. The ninja can only take one or two bullets before dying, and fog covers areas he cannot see, so noisy kills, visible corpses, and getting caught in the light can mean a quick end to his mission. Sometimes it's simply best for gamers to avoid confrontation altogether.
